Behind the scenes

I haven’t done much with the old blog lately. I’ve been posting fairly often, and defending my turf from punks, but that’s about it. At least, that’s how it might look to the untrained eye.

A couple of weeks ago, I set up a basic private web server on my home network. It’s nothing fancy, but it’ll help me to do a lot of work on a whole bunch of websites that have been on my “to do” list for far too long. I’ve also set up something similar down at the office, and I think it’s going to make a big difference.

Nerdy? Maybe so, but it means the redesigned site I’ve been promising to launch since forever is on its way. It also means a wide range of improvements to Righteous Melody, the Everyone’s a DJ website, Strong Words and related projects, and a bunch of other stuff that no one’s even heard about yet. If that’s nerdy, then I guess all the people who have been calling me a nerd since high school might have a point.

Speaking of working behind the scenes, if I don’t have more to tell you about this by tomorrow, then I’m just not doing my job. Things are coming together, and keeping them moving is what tonight’s all about. Stay tuned for details, won’t you?
