Get your tickets for Words and support Literature for Life

Literature for Life, in cooperation with Lauren Shirreffs and the Gingerich Group, will host a fundraising event called Words at C Lounge on Thursday, 28 July 2011. Ticket and silent auction proceeds from the event will benefit Literature for Life’s core programming for young, marginalized mothers and families in the Greater Toronto Area.

The event will include a spoken word poetry session featuring Dwayne Morgan, Jwyze and Rootz Kizzy; music by Andria Symaniw and Mike Celia; and DJ sets by k-os and the Gillespie Brothers.

Tickets are $20.00 in advance, and you can get yours online. I’ve got a block to sell as well, so if you’re likely to bump into me during the next couple of weeks, I’ll be glad to hook you up. It’ll be a great night in support of a wonderful organization, and we hope to see you all there!
