Shit that might somehow end up on television
It’s one thing to give Justin Halpern, the author of the popular shitmydadsays feed on Twitter, a book deal based on his work. He got one a month ago, and good for him; it’s a notable accomplishment and a sensible transition.
But now, it’s been announced that CBS has agreed to develop a sitcom based on the feed. Which is great, but I’ve got a feeling it’s not going to work, because it’s a sitcom based on a Twitter feed. I mean, I don’t work in television, and I’ve never even gotten a book deal, but… Well, it’s a sitcom based on a Twitter feed.
Apparently, it’ll also be produced and supervised by the creators of Will and Grace. So I guess it’s not even going to be funny.
