Live and let live (or else)

It’s important to take some time at the end of each day to reflect on your successes and failures, and to think about what you might do differently tomorrow. Pauses like these keep you in tune with your big picture, and they help you live your life in accordance with your own philosophy.

In my case, if you were to boil that philosophy down to its simplest terms, I guess it would be “live and let live.” You only get one life, and there are far too many angry, insecure or bigoted people in this world who want to try and tell you how to live it. I think we’d all be happier and healthier if we lived our lives on our own terms and supported each other’s ability to do the same – and at the end of each day, I ask myself if I’ve been true to that philosophy.

But I think I need a better way to phrase that question than “Who did I let live today?”
