The Tooker Gomberg Memorial Library
The Centre for Social Innovation announced last year that they would become the new home of the Tooker Gomberg Memorial Library. More than eight hundred books from the late environmental activist’s personal collection are available at the library, which celebrated its first anniversary today.
“Topics include transportation, health, cities, waste, food, nuclear, peace, nature, politics, fiction, kids, development, energy, globalization, advocacy and much more,” the CSI said in its original statement. Materials can be signed out during office hours.
Check it out next time you’re in the neighbourhood. Meanwhile, a brief biography of Gomberg is included in the CSI’s post above, while photos taken at last year’s launch are available on Flickr.
