“You’ve got to be careful what you write on a public site like your blog,” my mother said after that thing with the Star.

“Yeah,” I said. “I’m usually pretty careful about that.”

“I know,” she said. “I read it every once in a while. You tend to be pretty polite.”

“It’s funny you should say that,” I told her. “I’ve always found it’s easy to write with tact if I imagine that you might eventually read it.”

“Then what’s with all the swearing?” my mother asked. “You need to cut it out with all the swearing.”
