It’s Friday, so here are Beavis and Butt-head watching “Greed” by Varga

Varga was a metal band from Hamilton who put out a couple of decent albums in the mid-nineties. Beavis and Butt-head liked them so much that they decided that “There should be more bands like this… There should be one of these speed metal bands, like, everywhere. Like at the mall, and you know, like… like at the store, and like… like, down on the corner and stuff like that?”

It was always kind of weird and pretty cool to see those guys take on a Canadian video. The inferiority complex that we as a nation tend to have about our pop culture is such that you would have just assumed that Beavis and Butthead had never heard of Moist, for example. But here’s the proof, such as it is.
