Link of the Day: Support Make Media Matter
The Pepsi Refresh Project is giving away over a million dollars in grants to support a wide range of great ideas. One of those ideas is Make Media Matter, a really impressive project that’s currently being developed by the good people at Journalists for Human Rights.
JHR needs your vote in order to benefit from the program. If they manage to get the most votes in their category by the time voting closes on Tuesday, 31 August 2010, they’ll receive a hundred thousand dollar grant.
“We don’t just need your vote once (although we appreciate it!)” Executive Director Ben Peterson said in a recent email. “If you can, please vote for us today, tomorrow and every day until August 31st. Better yet, make the voting page your homepage – and remind yourself to vote!”
Voting is free and easy. You’ll have to give Pepsi a name and email address, but Ben insists that the process is secure and you won’t receive any direct marketing as a result. So get out there and vote for them – today, tomorrow, the day after that, and so on into the fall.
