Link of the Day: The Council of Canadians

It’s amazing what you can learn about the issues and politics of our country simply by staying tuned to the Council of Canadians, chaired by the rather remarkable Maude Barlow. Working “to protect Canadian independence by promoting progressive policies on fair trade, clean water, energy security, public health care, and other issues of social and economic concern to Canadians,” the council has a big job on its plate, but one that it tackles tirelessly.

Their list of current campaigns bridges a wide range of vital issues, and they’ve got lots of publications and lists for those who want to be kept up to date. Check them out.
