Link of the Day: DoSomething.org

DoSomething.org is a vast and impressive resource for young people who want to make a difference in any number of issues or causes.

They describe themselves as “one of the largest organizations in the US that helps young people rock causes they care about… By leveraging the web, television, mobile, and pop culture, DoSomething.org inspires, empowers and celebrates a generation of doers: teenagers who recognize the need to do something, believe in their ability to get it done, and then take action.”

Among other features, the site contains a search engine designed to get you started on doing some good; you can search according to issues, the size of the group you want to work with, where you want the work to be done, and the amount of time you’re willing and able to dedicate to it.
