All aboard the mayorrobford.ca train, you pinko leftist kooks in sensibly coloured jackets!

The response to yesterday’s post about mayorrobford.ca has been encouraging, to say the least. I don’t want to say too much at this early date, but I’m happy to tell you that a good friend of mine got in touch last night with a great idea, and we’re currently talking it out.

Now, like I said, by the time this thing actually launches, I’ll have washed my hands of it. And although the friend in question is a skilled and energetic dude, I don’t think he’s going to want to launch this project alone, much less keep it going on his own.

So if you’d like to be a part of this new site, then I invite you to get in touch. I know I’ve been vague at best about the details, but that’s only because I don’t want to speak for my friend or interfere with his idea.

It’s fairly safe to say that he’ll need writers and researchers, and he might appreciate a web designer to share the workload. But beyond that, all I’m in a position to say is that if you’re concerned about Toronto’s next four years, and your biggest criticism of our new mayor is about something more relevant than his weight, then my friend will probably want to hear from you.

In the meantime, and in spite of my repeated promises to myself that I’m going to take it easy on launching new projects, I’m hoping to bring you news on two new sites in the near future. One of them will be a done deal by the time it launches, but the other’s going to depend on the help of a crack team of filthy pinko leftists.
