Call for DJs and donors: The Canadian Electric Wheelchair Hockey Association
Speaking of DJ sets and great guys named Paul, my friend Paul Desaulniers has just become the president of theĀ Toronto division of the Canadian Electric Wheelchair Hockey Association, and he’s currently in need of a DJ for their annual Toronto banquet. I’ve worked with these guys before, and although I’m unable to do so this year, it’s a great night and I’d highly recommend it to any DJ who’s willing and able.
The banquet will be held on Saturday, 12 May 2012 at 6:00 PM at the Holiday Inn Yorkdale. For more information, drop me a line and I’ll put you in touch with Paul. I’m told they’re already looking at a few leads, and they may well have found a DJ by the time you’ve read this, but I’d still love to put him in touch with some DJs and help make sure the job gets done.
The CEWHA is “a floor hockey league for people with disabilities who have limited upper body strength and/or mobility who could significantly benefit from the use of an electric wheelchair in competitive sport and daily living.” They’re a terrific organization doing great work, and I invite you to visit their website for more information. You can also contact the league to learn more about volunteer opportunities, or make a donation through CanadaHelps.org.
