Fishing for comments

Have you noticed that a lot of bloggers out there tend to ask a lot of questions in their posts? Like, particularly toward the end? Do you think that approach encourages people to post more comments?

Would you agree that a little more discussion would improve a site like this? Do you think if I asked a lot of questions, then my posts would read less like definitive statements and more like springboards for debate? Would that approach be more likely to make people feel like their thoughts and opinions were welcome on this site?

What do you think of bloggers who end their posts with questions? Do you think they generate more comments? Does it ultimately come off as a desperate bid for feedback? Like, especially if they drag it out for an entire post because they think it’s clever or something? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.

I wish I could get a sense of what you need. Like, if you needed something from me, you’d ask me right?
