Link of the Day: Dust City

Kate and I went down to Clinton’s last night to check out the launch of Dust City, the newest young adult novel by local author Robert Paul Weston. In addition to being an accomplished writer and teacher, Rob is also a friend of Kate’s, having taught one of her previous writing classes.

It was a pleasure to meet him, and to hear him read from his new book. It was also nice to meet his new wife – who he had married the very day before Kate and I tied the knot.

Believe me, nothing makes a couple of newlyweds want to stop complaining immediately about all the work that goes into a wedding like meeting a guy who somehow managed to balance that work with the demands of launching a book. Good on you, Rob!
