Today, Phil Western and Ministry’s good news is my bank account’s bad news

I’d like to open up this post by pledging not to become one of those awful bloggers who only ever talks about mobile phones and social media and what not. Yes, I recently bought an iPhone, and yes, I’ve mentioned it rather frequently since. But I hope you’ll believe me when I tell you that I’m the last person who wants to see my phone become a frequent topic of conversation in my life, much less on this blog.

That said, wow! Look how easy it is to buy and listen to music within a matter of minutes on this thing! iTunes is right there on my home display! And there’s an iPod icon right next to it! And the tracks download in seconds on this network!

I’m about to get completely carried away with this, you guys. I’ll have spent hundreds or even thousands of dollars within a matter of days, without even realizing it. I’m calling it now, just to let you know in advance that I saw it coming and was powerless to stop it.

I don’t mind iPhone talk. I want one one day.

Also, I’m impressed that you pay for music. You’re a dying breed, Matt.

  2. Matt says:

The way I see it, if I’m going to make money playing someone’s music, I’d damned well better exhaust any and all options to pay for that music. Not that I make much money playing it these days, but still.
