Link of the Day: The CBC’s “Montreal Massacre” archive

It was twenty-one years ago today that Marc Lépine killed fourteen women at L’École Polytechnique in Montreal. They were killed because they were women, by a man who believed that feminism had ruined his life. The event has come to be known as the Montreal Massacre, and the day on which it took place has rightly become an annual day of action and remembrance.

The CBC maintains an archive on the Montreal Massacre, and it’s quite thorough. I linked to it last week, as part of a broader post about the White Ribbon Campaign. But today, it feels appropriate to make it a point of focus.

It’s a good day to think about the women in your life and what they mean to you. Not that there’s ever a bad day to do that, but you know what I mean.
