Hey, what’s up with Teranga now?

A little while back, I mentioned that Teranga was apparently having some trouble with its landlords. A few days after posting this, I got an email from Brad “Rx” Ketchen, the DJ and promoter who initially put the bug in my ear. Brad confirmed that times are tough and change is in the air.

Mark McLean, who handles Teranga’s bookings, has confirmed that they hope to reopen in a new location as soon as possible. They’ve already started looking into new spaces, and all bookings are on hold in the meantime.

Judging by Mark’s statement, it sounds as if the situation with the building owners is irreconcilable. He mentioned some legal action, but not in any specific terms.

At any rate, it looks as if they hope to reopen in April, at a new location somewhere in the same neighbourhood. Join me in wishing them luck!
