I’m hosting two readings tonight
If you’re in the mood to catch some live readers tonight, then I’m hosting a couple of events you won’t want to miss. Strong Words returns to the Free Times Cafe at 8:00 PM tonight, featuring appearances by Catriona Wright, Andrew MacDonald and Simon Patrick Rogers. The reading will be “pay what you can,” and as always, we’ll accept optional donations of new and used books in resale condition for the Book Ends program at the Toronto Public Library. Be there!
And speaking of the library, I’ve also been asked to host a reading at the Lillian H. Smith branch at 6:00 PM tonight in honour of National Poetry Month. The reading is free, and featured readers will include Dennis Lee, John Robert Columbo, Robert Priest, Karen Mulhallen and David Day. Be sure to check it out.
By the way, I’ll be doing both of those readings after a full day at work and two hours of sleep, so it might end up being a hell of a thing to watch.
