Too soon?

It’s recently been announced that Katie Holmes will play Jacqueline Kennedy in an upcoming television miniseries. She’ll be “acting” alongside Greg Kinnear, who has been cast as JFK.

I don’t want to judge a film I haven’t seen, and you know I’m not one to indulge in hyperbole. But it’s my firm belief that this particular film will go down in history as the worst thing ever to happen to the Kennedys.

All right, fine. Maybe we can all agree to call it the second worst thing. But only if we’re also in agreement that the Kennedy assassination had better not get too comfortable with being the worst thing ever to happen to the reputation of Texas school book depositories. Because guess what? There’s a new kid in town.
