Hosni Mubarak resigns as Egypt’s president

I haven’t written much about Egypt over the past couple of weeks. I’m hardly an expert on its history, and I haven’t felt like I could possibly keep pace with new events and the pace of change in the region.

But it wouldn’t be right to let a day like today go by without acknowledging what everyone who’s been paying attention already knows. Truly a remarkable day on both a local and global level! Not an ending, by any means, but certainly a landmark victory.
