Join Cathy Crowe at tonight’s Toronto Centre NDP nomination meeting

Tonight at 6:00 PM, the provincial NDP will host a nomination meeting for the Toronto Centre riding at the Ryerson Student Centre. Street nurse and homeless advocate Cathy Crowe will receive the nomination for the riding.

You may remember Cathy representing the NDP back in February of 2010, when a byelection was held to fill the vacancy left by former MPP George Smitherman, who resigned in order to run for mayor. The seat was won by Liberal candidate and former Winnipeg mayor Glen Murray.

Will Toronto Centre’s voters choose a different path in October? Cathy Crowe and the NDP certainly hope so, and their battle for the riding begins tonight.
