“If there’s a steady paycheque in it, I’ll marry anyone you say”

The problem I have with Winston Blackmore, the excommunicated bishop and leader of Canada’s largest polygamist group, isn’t the fact that he was kicked out of his fundamentalist Mormon church, or the fact that he’s been arrested for polygamy, or the fact that he’s been married twenty-five times and fathered a hundred and twenty-one children.

No, the problem I have with Winston Blackmore is the fact that I keep confusing him with Ghostbuster Winston Zeddemore, who was played by Ernie Hudson in the film of the same name. Whenever Blackmore comes up in conversation, I inevitably end up saying something stupid, like “I liked the part when he told Ray that when someone asks if you’re a god, you say ‘Yes.’”

I have a mnemonic that usually helps me tell the difference: The Ghostbuster is Winston Zeddemore, not Winston Blackmore, because he’s “more” than just the “black” Ghostbuster.
