The pundit who cried a bunch of absolute nonsense

Sarah Palin traveled down to Haiti this past weekend, witnessing for herself the country’s impoverished conditions and its ongoing struggle to rebuild after an earthquake last year. She returned to tell her colleagues at Fox News that Haiti needs the support of Americans “who are more privileged and able to share” what they have.

And to tell you the truth, she’s right. Which is really weird, because she’s Sarah Palin.

This is the person who recently famously said that America needs to “stand with [its] North Korean allies” – and when corrected by Glenn Beck, of all people, conceded that yes, America is “also bound by prudence to stand with [their] South Korean allies.”

This is the person who said that Julian Assange of WikiLeaks is “un-American” – which is technically true because he’s Australian – and who said that he should be tried for treason against the United States – which is technically impossible because he’s un-American.

And you know what else? From what I understand, these aren’t even the only stupid things she’s said in her time. In fact, I hear she’s got a bit of a reputation for it.

So I guess my main concern is that the liberal socialists elites are going to hear about this Haiti thing, and because of Palin’s total lack of credibility on foreign issues, they’re just going to assume that Haiti’s doing fine, and that for all we know they should be sending us money. That horrid misconception will get out through the Liberal Media in minutes, and soon we’ll all be yelling about how “politically incorrect” it is to help the Haitians – let alone to call it “Christmas,” but don’t get me started on that.

We can’t allow that to happen, guys. Haiti needs our help. But short of pointing out that Palin’s entire trip to Haiti was probably just a carefully contrived, heavily coached attempt to rewrite a certain potential 2012 presidential candidate’s widespread reputation for being a raging dullard who doesn’t have a clue what’s going on in the world today, I don’t know what to do.
