It’s about time

“If you love it so much, why don’t you marry it?” Young children all over the world have had to face this question whenever they’ve gotten excited about something, and they’re not alone. Once you’ve grown up, met a woman, and spent four years in her company, you’ll find that your friends and family rightly start asking why you don’t marry that woman already if you love her so much.

I figured those people had a point, so on Saturday night, I asked my girlfriend if she’d marry me. Much to my relief, she said she would! I guess a lot of people have been asking her the same question lately. Either way, the people we’ve told seem to think it’s about time, and I couldn’t agree more.

“Why are you hitting yourself?” is still a valid question, assuming I am, in fact, hitting myself at the time.

You should know that this will only get those people off your back until about 3 months after the wedding – then it switches to “When are you going to have kids?”

    What? Oh, damn it!
