“I’m not saying that Kirstie Alley is a racist”
Here’s an interesting commentary on race relations from hip-hop activist and media assassin Harry Allen. It’s a bit of a rambling read if you already know how Twitter works and you’re no stranger to watching celebrities argue on it. But it’s a thoughtful piece with a lot of insightful ideas on race in North America – not to mention the shocking revelation that Kirstie Alley might not be the most tactful person around.
Allen later wrote about Alley’s response to this post. He concedes that his own piece was “boring” but not “uninteresting” – and more importantly, he provides a wide range of links to some of his “better work” on race.

Yeah, Harry Allen’s a pretty insightful fellow. He even did some work with Public Enemy back in the day. Well worth following.
