Crime doesn’t pay

“Hey, you’re here,” says the placard next to the drop box at my local Rogers Video. “You might as well rent another one.”

Can you believe the gall? I’m not going to let some pushy video store tell me what to do. Hell, I wasn’t even returning a video. I was just walking by!

With the way the world is going these days, I thought, Rogers Video ought to consider itself lucky that people are renting videos at all. Do you know how easy it is to download a movie or a video game on the web? And they’ve got the nerve to be like “Oh, you mean you’re only going to rent one?” Why, it made me want to go home and download a bunch of movies on general principle!

But then I remembered that Rogers also makes money whenever I use the Internet at home, so I can’t even stick it to them without writing them a big fat cheque first. Damn it, Ted Rogers, you visionary!

  1. Sofi loves you says:

Nice one! Mondoville thinks so, too!

  2. Matt says:

Man, Mondoville acts fast! That’s at least the second time they’ve boosted something I’ve posted here almost immediately. Thanks, Mondoville and Sofi alike!

As for their “useless without pics” comment, I’m going to have to plead “useless with a camera.”
