Sailing off course

Remember my clever plan to use children’s cereals to trick myself into a daily habit of eating breakfast? Well, it isn’t going as well as I’d hoped.

If I had to guess why, I’d say it’s probably because it turns out that Cap’n Crunch is actually a pretty disgusting cereal.

I mean, I’m still going to finish the box, because I hate the idea of wasting food or anything that approximates it. But man, if you ever need a reminder that you’re a mature adult, try suffering through a box of that nonsense.

It sounds weird, but I do actually like Wheetabix – it just seems like such an adult thing to eat! A bit of brown sugar and you’re good to go!
At one point last year, I had visions of eating nice warm outmeal on cold mornings – so I bought a big back of oatmeal and then discovered that I was right as a child and no amount of brown sugar can make it taste nice.

Yeah, I’ve got no quarrel with Weetabix. Maybe I’ll give it another try, in fact.
