Link of the Day: iPolitics

iPolitics is independent, non-partisan and committed to providing timely, relevant, insightful content to those whose professional or personal interests require that they stay on top of political developments in Ottawa and the provinces.” The site launched just a few hours ago, and reportedly it’s off to a strong start.

“Working in a spirit of neutral inquiry, our daily news service will include coverage of the legislative, regulatory, political, and policy developments that matter most to businesspeople, professionals, politicians, public servants, political activists, and the more politically-aware.

“Daily subscribers to iPolitics will enjoy full access to original iPolitics material across our web and mobile platforms. In addition, iPolitics provides for all users up-to-date newswire stories, expert opinions and online resources, including a jobs board, ‘who’s who’ guide and discussion forum.

“Individual subscriptions start at just $15.00 CAD per month. Business and institutional subscriptions registering multiple users receive discounts off the individual rate.”

An interesting experiment, for sure. Subscriber-based content on the web is a tricky business at best, but here’s hoping they can pull it off. If you like, you can follow them on Twitter for updates on the project as it unfolds.
