Short and Sweet might just be the coolest thing happening in Toronto tonight

After years of living in London, my friend Jordan Crute recently returned home to Toronto – and being the gentleman he is, he was kind enough to bring his awesome short film screening with him.

Short and Sweet’s Toronto incarnation launches tonight at No One Writes to the Colonel, a rather excellent new College Street venue that Kate and I first visited on the night Joanna Karaplis launched her latest book. Tonight’s screening will be the first in a free weekly series, and it promises “the best in short film, animation and music video from around the world.” How can you go wrong with that?

The program starts at 7:30 PM and runs until about 9:30 PM. The Facebook listing is here, for those of you who might like to RSVP. No One Writes to the Colonel is located at 460 College Street at Bathurst.

By the way, Jordan’s coincidentally one of the DJs scheduled to appear at this weekend’s edition of Everyone’s a DJ, so do be sure to check him out at Disgraceland this Saturday.
