Tomorrow night at Stella: Babylon Telecom’s sudden, unlikely return

If you’re in town for the long weekend, then I’d like you to drop by Stella on Bloor West tomorrow night, where I’ll be spinning my first set in months, if not years, for Babylon Telecom.

Select bookings at Stella are currently managed by Ron Blake, who’s a regular at Everyone’s a DJ under various names. When he invited me to spin recently, he suggested I bring the Babylon Telecom platform back to the clubs. I took it up the ladder, and the company was very excited; judging by the website, and their newly-rebooted account on Twitter, they’re treating this live set as the foundation of some sort of sweeping rebrand.

So yes, if you’re in town, check out the show; details are available on the website, along with Stella’s event listing on Facebook. But if this is indeed the start of something big, then you’ll probably want to follow Babylon Telecom on Twitter, or check out their somewhat neglected Facebook page, for the sake of staying in the loop as things unfold.
